My frustration with bridging issue while loading rifle cartridges using Dillon OEM funnels at one point reached the level, that I had to do something about. After thinking, drawing, prototyping, trying, getting frustrated even more, and repeating process from step one (FIVE PROTOTYPES!!!), I'm finally comfortable to offer this product to you, and subject myself to your judgment! I also appreciate your feedback and suggestions, as this type of funnel, to my best knowledge, is the first of a kind.
This Powder Funnel in 30 caliber and spacer is designed to work with any cartridge, that use .308"-.312" full metal jacketed / plated projectiles, and geared toward reloading for semi-automatic rifles. However nothing precludes you from using it for bolt action rifles as, - I do such for my Tikka T3x in .308".
The expander portion of the Powder Funnel is sized at .3085" with a +/- .0005" tolerance. Subsequently it would be advisable to use crimping as a last step of reloading process. Both boat tail and straight projectiles can be used. Spacers included to accommodate shorter cartridges, such as 300 AA Blackout or 7.62x39. I included pictures of calibres that I tried, albeit I don't load all of these for myself (currently I only load .308 and 7.62x39).
My trials were limited to making sure that Powder Measure is activated properly and charges can be adjusted. No bullet seating was tested!!! I want to point out, that short-necked cartridges, like 300 Savage (you can see it on one of the pictures) or 300 Win Mag will not reach bottom of the expander portion of the funnel. However Powder Measure will be activated via shoulder of cartridge triggering upward motion. Neck expansion will be sufficient for installing projectile manually or by means of using Mr. Bulletfeeder.
